Other Tips:
- May grow indoors or outdoors. Potted or planted in the ground.
- This tree is self-pollinating. The plant will mature in 1-2 years. If healthy & fruiting conditions are right, it will produce bananas! It may take several months for the fruit to fully form and become ripe. Please note that growing fruit indoors can be done, but is more difficult & may take longer.
- Each tree will bear fruit once per year. Once the fruit is harvested, we recommend cutting the plant back for the winter. As long as the underground parts of the plant survive the winter, the cycle will start again the following spring. This is the best method for a good chance at having fruit next year. If your winter months experience freezing temperatures, the whole plant will need to be brought indoors.
