This variety of Calathea is well loved for its ability to thrive in low-light. Its round leaves are thick and have three shades of green, ranging from dark to light. The different shades create a feather-like pattern that is duplicated on the undersides except in shades of maroon. Similar to prayer plants, the Medallion’s leaves curl upward in the evening to reveal that stunning reddish color. This plant is a wonderful way to add a bit of brightness and energy to a dark corner.
