The Zebrina bears distinctive stripes, just like the animal it’s named after. The leaves are shaped like elongated ovals and are a vibrant green with darker green stripes. The undersides are a lovely purple which can be seen every now and again when tightly curled new leaves begin to emerge. This species gets larger than other Calathea varieties, sometimes reaching 3’. Its foliage grows from one main rosette and typically stays compact and dense.
