Also known as the Dwarf Japanese Garden Juniper, this fascinating plant is well-loved for its ability to be grown as a bonsai. Its needle-shaped leaves are petite and grow in whorls of three. In warmer months their color is blue-green and adopts purplish hues in cooler weather. While it makes an excellent bonsai, this plant can also be used for ground cover. It has slower growth which makes maintenance easy.
