Sometimes called the paddle plant or dog tongue plant, this succulent variety has unique wedge-shaped leaves that are fleshy. New growth emerges gray-green but when exposed to full sun, something spectacular happens. The “paddles” begin to turn bright yellow with a shock of orange on the edges. The result is a plant that looks like a miniature sunset. Similar to other succulent varieties, the Flapjacks is easy to care for, making it an excellent choice for beginner plant owners.
